A Bath for the Heart

Living is messy…  and as we move in our environment and do work we get dirty – that’s a product of work.  Getting dirty is inevitable , but that’s why we have showers. It had me thinking about my heart, and the things that come out of it. Keeping a clean heart is like taking a shower, cleaning a car or cleaning up a shop. I realize  just by living I will come across dirty thoughts, dirty  imaginations, and etc… but the question is what we do what those ideas. Do we hold on to them or let God’s word wash and cleanse them away? It’s WORK , but hearing God’s word daily actually cleanses our imaginations from the impurities, and the things that causes all types of junk on earth.

” First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean”. – Matthew 23:26

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” – Proverbs 4:23

“For out of the heart come evil thoughts–murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander”. – Matthew 15:19

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will”. Romans 12:2
