Confidence

Confidence is a firm trust in someone or something.

Confidence is necessary in getting a mate, getting a job and even pleasing God.. The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God.
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” -Hebrews 11: 6

Faith and confidence play hand in hand…in fact, faith is confidence.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. – Hebrews 11:1-2

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. – Romans 10:17

The way we build confidence is to first research. Research has to do with listening , recording , asking questions, and digging until we find the answer that satisfies the problem. We need to find out what is solid, what is true, and become familiar with patterns. Find what is true, test it again and again .. record the results.

Most of us are pretty confident that the sun will be up tomorrow, you’re pretty confident that Christmas will come at the same time next year. We are confident that when we sit down in a chair it will hold us…some of us are even confident that we will fail.

So in order to build the right confidence that brings about a productive life you need to prepare yourself ( practice), you need to know and understand , what has happened before, and what’s happening now… in order to affect what will happen next. Pray to God so he will open up your eyes, and guide you into all righteousness.

Without prayer nothing good happens so constantly pray and ask God to guide you in the way that is right – he will. Now, you’ll be able to find truth, and test the truth and know the truth, and the truth will give you confidence, to walk in freedom, and not fear.
