Worship from a Broken Heart

Took the long route home so I could see the open skies and the sunrise…the touch of light that can dry the tears from my eyes, even though they flow like rivers, they cleanse my heart so I can see clearer. Words can’t express all that I’m going through right now. How long must I perform? My emotions got me worn, like a hurricane my heart rages on. But I see the sun, and I see your son, so I know the work is not done. These tears are the rain that will bring new grain. I’m just going through a season,  so I keep believing even though my grieving… I’m still believing! Accept my worship from a broken heart, it may not sound eloquent or smart, but I’m your work of art. So let my tears hit the dirt, and form clay for your works because your the Master Artist who brings healing from every hurt.

Look on my suffering and deliver me,
    for I have not forgotten your law.
154 Defend my cause and redeem me;
    preserve my life according to your promise.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked,
    for they do not seek out your decrees.
156 Your compassion, Lord, is great;
    preserve my life according to your laws.
157 Many are the foes who persecute me,
    but I have not turned from your statutes.
158 I look on the faithless with loathing,
    for they do not obey your word.
159 See how I love your precepts;
    preserve my life, Lord, in accordance with your love.
160 All your words are true;
    all your righteous laws are eternal.

Psalm 119:153-160
